GFL Saturday: Unicorns and Monarchs stay perfect, Panther and Comets get first win
Schwäbisch Hall and Dresden remain unbeaten. Düsseldorf and Allgäu each celebrate their first win of the season.
Four games, four clear stories
GFL Week 6 brought several important Saturday results. The Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns stayed unbeaten with a 42-14 win over the Munich Cowboys. Dresden added another victory with a 24-16 result in Braunschweig, although the Lions made the Monarchs work for it.
In the North, the Düsseldorf Panther earned their first win of the season with a 14-7 road victory at the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes. In the South, the Allgäu Comets also celebrated their first GFL win of the year by beating the Straubing Spiders 24-20.
Unicorns remain the South benchmark
Schwäbisch Hall controlled the top matchup against Munich and confirmed its perfect start. Dresden also remains unbeaten in the North after finding the key answers in Braunschweig.
For Düsseldorf and Allgäu, the wins were especially important. Both teams needed a lift – and both found it on Saturday.
Week 6 keeps shaping the GFL: the favorites stay stable, while two teams near the bottom get valuable breathing room.
