Rhein Fire responds

Rhein Fire sent a clear AFLE message with a 35-0 win over Paris Lights. After a defensive opening, the game changed in the second quarter when Paris quarterback Evan Hillock left with an injury to his throwing hand.

Without their starting quarterback, Paris struggled to find offensive rhythm. Rhein Fire used the situation with discipline, controlled the game and pulled away more and more as the night went on.

Bahar, Scott and Geiger make the difference

Rhein Fire scored in different ways. Jonathan Scott, Kenji Bahar and Giacomo de Pauli all reached the end zone on the ground, while Bahar also connected with Kaylon Geiger Sr. through the air.

The shutout matters just as much as the offensive production. Rhein Fire kept Paris off the scoreboard and showed the defensive stability the team needed.

35-0 is a statement. Rhein Fire delivered the right answer on both sides of the ball.
