Mulumba sets the defensive tone

Frankfurt Galaxy found the right response in Week 4 of the European Football Alliance. In the 21-5 road win over the Raiders Tirol, one player stood above the rest: defensive lineman Chris Mulumba.

The EFA named Mulumba the Week 4 MVP. His numbers tell the story: four sacks, one tackle for loss and a safety. Even more important was his impact on the game. Mulumba lived in the Raiders backfield, pressured quarterback Steven Krajewski again and again and set the tone for Frankfurt’s defense.

Galaxy wins through defense and control

For Frankfurt, this was more than just a result. After a difficult start to the season, Galaxy needed a game built on structure, physicality and clean execution. That is exactly what happened in Innsbruck. The defense allowed only a field goal and a safety and consistently won at the line of scrimmage.

Mulumba’s fourth-quarter safety was the fitting exclamation point. Frankfurt can take real confidence from this performance – not because of an offensive explosion, but because it looked like football that travels.

A meaningful MVP award

After Russell Tabor, Roberto Miranda and Brevin Easton, Mulumba becomes the fourth player to receive an EFA weekly MVP honor this season. The fact that another Frankfurt player is recognized also shows that Galaxy still has enough individual quality to matter in this league.

Frankfurt has found its first real answer of the season – and Chris Mulumba provided the headline.
